Private Client Tax Manager
Role Overview: A rare opportunity has arisen for a qualified Tax Accountant to join the Private Client Team of a medium-sized, multi-office law firm in Edinburgh. This role is central to the team, focusing on managing the tax affairs of UK individuals and trusts. The successful candidate will have the unique opportunity to transition into the role over a two-year period, eventually taking over the full client portfolio from the retiring Private Client Tax Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing a mixed portfolio of personal tax clients and trusts.
- Providing high-quality tax compliance and advisory services.
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Working autonomously and managing workload effectively.
- Implementing changes and growing the existing client base.
- Preparing for a full transition of responsibilities over two years.
Candidate Profile:
- Qualified Tax Accountant with strong personal tax knowledge.
- Experience in tax compliance and advisory roles.
- Understanding of Inheritance Tax, Trusts, and Estates (desirable).
- Ability to work independently and deliver exceptional service.
- Experience in payroll and auto-enrolment (preferred but not essential).
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
