Corporate/Mixed Tax Assistant
Role Overview: An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Tax Professional to join a growing tax team at a prestigious accountancy firm. Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of corporate or personal tax computations for HMRC submissions.
- Assisting with new engagement proposals.
- Coordinating various tax matters including payments, loss relief, and capital allowances.
- Keeping abreast with technical knowledge in corporation, business, and personal tax.
- Communicating with HMRC on behalf of clients.
- Administrative duties including scanning and filing of tax return information.
- Liaising with audit and accounting departments.
- Managing a small portfolio of tax clients, ensuring compliance and identifying tax planning opportunities.
Candidate Profile:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience within a tax team.
- Working towards or already ATT qualified, or equivalent practical UK tax experience.
- Excellent technical knowledge and IT skills.
- Strong communication skills and a proven team player.
- Committed to delivering first-class service.
- Adaptable, organised, and commercially astute.
Location: Central Scotland (Edinburgh/Dunfermline), with options for office-based or hybrid working.
