About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Corporate Tax Manager to join a growing accountancy practice in Aberdeen.

This is an excellent opportunity for either an experienced Corporate Tax Manager or a strong Assistant Manager looking to step into a managerial position. You will work with a varied portfolio of clients across a range of sectors, providing a blend of corporate tax compliance and advisory services.

The role offers the opportunity to take ownership of client relationships, work on complex tax matters and play an important role in the continued development of the corporate tax offering.

The Role

As Corporate Tax Manager, you will:

• Manage a varied portfolio of corporate clients, including larger businesses and owner-managed businesses.
• Deliver a combination of corporate tax compliance and advisory work.
• Provide advice on complex corporate tax matters and identify tax planning opportunities.
• Review corporate tax computations and compliance work prepared by the wider team.
• Manage deadlines and ensure work is delivered accurately and efficiently.
• Act as a key point of contact for clients, building strong and lasting relationships.
• Handle client queries and provide commercially focused tax advice.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues across the wider tax and advisory teams.
• Support the development and growth of the corporate tax client base.
• Identify opportunities to introduce additional services where appropriate.
• Contribute to business development and the development of new client relationships.
• Support and develop more junior members of the team.
• Work as part of a wider regional tax team on a range of corporate tax matters.
• Keep up to date with changes in tax legislation and ensure advice provided remains technically accurate.

About You

We are looking for a motivated and commercially minded Corporate Tax professional who is keen to develop their career within a growing practice.

You will ideally have:

• CTA, CA, ACCA or equivalent qualification.
• Strong experience in corporate tax, ideally gained within an accountancy or professional services practice.
• Experience managing a portfolio of corporate clients.
• A good balance of corporate tax compliance and advisory experience.
• The ability to manage multiple deadlines and competing priorities.
• Strong technical tax knowledge and the ability to communicate complex issues clearly.
• Excellent client relationship and communication skills.
• A proactive approach to identifying opportunities and developing client relationships.
• Experience supervising or mentoring junior members of a team.
• A commercial mindset and genuine interest in understanding clients’ businesses.
• The confidence to work independently while also contributing to a wider team.
