About the Role
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Accounts Senior to join a growing and well-established accountancy practice in Fife.
This role would suit a newly or recently qualified accountant with strong practice experience who is looking to take the next step in their career. You will manage a varied portfolio of SME clients, providing accounts and tax services while building strong, long-term client relationships.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage a portfolio of SME clients, including existing and new clients.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and provide a proactive service.
- Prepare statutory accounts for:
- Limited companies
- Partnerships
- Sole traders
- Prepare management accounts and financial information.
- Prepare personal and corporation tax computations.
- Communicate directly with clients and HMRC, both verbally and in writing.
- Assist Managers and Partners with ad hoc client assignments and advisory work.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to provide a coordinated service to clients.
- Keep up to date with developments in accounting standards and personal and corporation tax legislation.
- Manage your own workload and ensure client deadlines are met.
- Provide a high-quality and commercially focused service to clients.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Ideally be newly or recently qualified, with at least 3 years’ experience within an accountancy practice.
- Strong experience preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
- Good knowledge of FRS 102 and statutory accounts preparation.
- Experience with personal and corporation tax computations.
- Previous experience managing or working with an SME client portfolio.
- Agriculture accounting experience would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage your own workload.
- The confidence to work independently and use your own initiative.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong IT skills and the ability to quickly learn and retain knowledge of accounting software.
- A proactive, client-focused approach and commitment to delivering a high-quality service.
