About the Role

An established and highly regarded accountancy practice is looking to recruit an experienced Audit Manager or Assistant Manager to join its growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working within a smaller accountancy firm who is looking to take the next step in their career and gain greater responsibility within a supportive and forward-thinking practice.

The successful candidate will ideally have experience across audit and accounts, with previous exposure to charity clients being particularly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Working with a varied portfolio of clients across different sectors.
• Preparing and reviewing accounts and financial statements.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Supervising and reviewing the work of junior team members.
• Ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Providing guidance and support to colleagues.
• Liaising with clients and addressing queries throughout the audit process.
• Working closely with Managers and Partners on more complex assignments.

About You

We’re keen to hear from candidates with:

• Previous experience within an accountancy practice.
• Strong audit experience, ideally combined with accounts knowledge.
• Experience supervising or reviewing junior team members.
• Exposure to charity audits would be highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• A strong focus on client service and quality.
• The ambition to progress and take on additional responsibility.

This role would suit an experienced Audit Senior looking to step up, an existing Assistant Manager, or someone already operating at Manager level within a smaller practice.
