About the Role

An established and growing accountancy practice based in Motherwell is looking to appoint an experienced Client Manager to join its team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a QBE or professionally qualified accountant looking for a role offering genuine responsibility, a varied client portfolio and an exceptional four-day working week, with Fridays off.

The Role

As Client Manager, you will take responsibility for managing a portfolio of clients, providing a high-quality accounting and advisory service and developing strong, long-term client relationships.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a portfolio of limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing and reviewing year-end accounts and financial statements.
• Preparing management accounts.
• Completing VAT returns and other statutory submissions.
• Preparing personal and corporation tax returns.
• Providing accounting and business advice to clients.
• Acting as a key point of contact for your portfolio.
• Managing workloads and ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Reviewing work and supporting junior members of the team where required.
• Identifying opportunities to add value to client relationships.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

• QBE or professional qualification (ACCA, CA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Strong accounts and tax knowledge.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• The ability to work independently and manage competing deadlines.
• A proactive and commercially minded approach.
