Currently recruiting for an Audit Senior to join an established and growing accountancy practice

The Role

Reporting to the Partners and Senior Management team, your responsibilities will include:

• Performing audits from planning and fieldwork through to completion.
• Preparing and reviewing accounts for Ltd companies, charities, LLPs, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing corporate and personal tax compliance work.
• Managing your workload to meet agreed budgets and deadlines.
• Keeping up to date with changes in audit, accounting and tax legislation.
• Providing clients with relevant technical advice and support.
• Coaching and mentoring junior members of the team.
• Building strong working relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Taking responsibility for assignments and working effectively with limited supervision.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

• ACCA, ICAS or an equivalent qualification, or be part-qualified.
• Previous experience within an audit department of a general accountancy practice.
• Strong audit and accounts experience.
• Good technical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• The ability to work independently, use initiative and meet strict deadlines.
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
• A genuine interest in developing their career within practice.

Experience with Sage 50, audit software, Microsoft Word and Excel would be beneficial. Knowledge of IRIS would also be advantageous but is not essential.
