The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for an Internal Audit Senior to join a growing team, working with clients across sectors including public services, housing, charities and education.

You will lead audit assignments, assess risks and controls, provide recommendations for improvement and build strong client relationships while supporting junior colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver internal audit assignments from start to finish.
• Assess risks and internal controls, identifying areas for improvement.
• Prepare clear audit reports with practical recommendations.
• Manage workloads and deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Liaise with clients, attend meetings and communicate audit findings.
• Supervise, review and support the development of junior team members.
• Help improve audit processes and client services.
• Support business development and maintain strong client relationships.

What We’re Looking For

• A relevant degree or equivalent experience.
• At least three years’ experience in internal audit.
• Experience leading audit assignments and dealing directly with clients.
• A relevant professional qualification, such as CIIA, or a willingness to work towards one.
• Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to assess risks, evaluate controls and recommend improvements.
• Experience supporting or reviewing junior colleagues.
• A proactive, professional and client-focused approach.
