The Opportunity

An opportunity has arisen for a Part-Qualified External Audit Senior to join a growing audit team, working with a varied client base across corporate, charity, education, housing and SME sectors.

You will lead audit assignments, prepare statutory accounts, build client relationships and support junior team members while continuing to develop your technical skills and progress towards qualification.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver external audit assignments from start to finish.
• Review financial information, assess risks and evaluate internal controls.
• Prepare statutory accounts and audit working papers.
• Identify audit findings and recommend improvements to clients.
• Review junior team members’ work and provide guidance and support.
• Manage deadlines and budgets, keeping managers informed of progress.
• Build strong client relationships and communicate audit findings clearly.
• Support training, business development and ongoing service improvements.

What We’re Looking For

• Part-qualified ACCA or ICAS student.
• Experience in external audit, including leading audit fieldwork.
• Good knowledge of UK auditing and accounting standards.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts and working on medium to large audits.
• Strong communication, organisational and client management skills.
• The ability to manage deadlines and work independently as well as within a team.
• Charity, education or public sector audit experience would be beneficial.
• A commitment to ongoing professional development and completing your qualification.

A full driving licence would be advantageous, as travel to client offices may be required, including occasional overnight stays.
