The Opportunity

An opportunity is available for a qualified Audit Senior to join an established audit team in Perth. You will take responsibility for planning and delivering audit assignments, build client relationships and support the development of junior colleagues, with guidance from managers and partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver audit assignments, including audit fieldwork and substantive and analytical procedures, often at client premises.
• Ensure audit files are accurately prepared and contain sufficient supporting documentation.
• Prepare statutory financial statements using client information.
• Identify significant risks, technical issues and areas of concern, escalating these to managers and partners where appropriate.
• Plan and coordinate audit assignments through to completion, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and on time.
• Exercise professional judgement when assessing audit findings and financial information.
• Build strong client relationships and begin taking ownership of a portfolio.
• Coach and mentor junior team members.
• Contribute to the achievement of team revenue, profitability and service delivery targets.

What We’re Looking For

• ACA, ACCA, CA or equivalent qualified.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP.
• Experience delivering audits across a variety of industries.
• Strong understanding of audit procedures, financial reporting and audit documentation.
• Good analytical skills and the ability to identify and assess audit risks.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Experience supporting, coaching or mentoring junior colleagues.
• A proactive approach to client service and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
